TUL

A smooth 6’8″ lefty that has deep range. Has really worked on his game off the bounce and scoring inside. A sneaky shot blocker as well!

Shon Lewis – Bixby

Lightning quick and strong guard. Took the job of guarding everyone’s best player last season. One of the top defenders in Tulsa. Just got an offer from McPherson College this week.

Joc Mitchell – Booker T. Washington

Joc is a very explosive athlete with a high IQ. He has the physical tools to score at will, but he is a pass first guy. He has a shifty game, or he can just blow by you and dunk it. He is at his best in the mid-range, but has now added the 3 ball. He can be a nightmare defensively either on the ball or playing the passing lanes.

David “DJ” Howell – Broken Arrow

DJ- 4-year starter who will be relied on to carry the team as he enters his senior year. DJ is an elite passer who enjoys getting his team involved, but make no mistake, he can score the ball as well. DJ stats have improved every year in every category and no one expects to change this season. Division 1 has shown a lot of interest and, that will continue to be the case. Look for his leadership and his play to determine how well the Tigers will finish this year.

Korbin Gunn – Union

Has started at Point guard for 3 years, the leader of our team. Plays bigger than his size, has led us in steals and assists the last 2 years.

Connor Hislop – Victory Christian

“Connor Hislop is widely recognized as one of the best on-ball defenders in the state, and it’s easy to see why. His defensive skills are a perfect blend of quickness, anticipation, and tenacity. Connor possesses lightning-fast reflexes that allow him to stay in front of his opponent, making it difficult for them to get comfortable with the ball.

His ability to read the game is exceptional; he anticipates passes and can disrupt plays before they even develop. Connor uses his footwork and body positioning to force tough shots, often forcing opponents into mistakes. He thrives under pressure, never backing down, and his intensity can be contagious, rallying his teammates to elevate their defensive efforts.

Connor not only excels defensively but also plays a pivotal role in controlling the pace of the game offensively. With an exceptional basketball IQ, he reads the flow of the game and knows when to speed things up or slow them down.

When we’re looking to push the tempo, Connor is the first to initiate fast breaks, utilizing his speed and vision to find open teammates. His precise passing and ability to make quick decisions keep the ball moving, creating high-percentage scoring opportunities.

Conversely, when we need to slow things down and execute a set play, Connor’s calm demeanor and leadership shine. He surveys the court, directing traffic and ensuring everyone is in the right position. His ability to control the pace allows us to dictate the rhythm of the game, making him an invaluable asset on offense”

OKC

Aiden has been our leading scorer, passer, and steals guy the previous two years. He averaged 18 PPG, and 5 APG while being not caught and double teamed in a lot of games. He has an elite handle with a very good ability to get paint touches and make plays for his teammates. He is the hardest worker in the gym and he truly loves the grind. He is a lead by example type with his work ethic. He is a very smart basketball player and the best offensively skilled player I’ve ever coached. He is lethal on ball screens because if you switch, he is too quick for a big to stay in front – if you go under, he will shoot it, and if you double, he will find the open guy.

Lukas Wooldridge – Bethany

Lukas is a very skilled wing. can play guard and can bang down low. Can really shoot it and can make 100 in a row if he finds a grove and stays hot in a workout. Has grown a ton in height and athleticism over the past year. Led a 5A Tahlequah team to the state tournament two years ago as a sophomore. Sat behind a couple state champions at Edmond North last year and will have another star season here at Bethany this year. Already holds two college offers and will have more soon.

TJ is a true three-level scorer, a fantastic rebounder, and has the ability to affect shots from all parts of the court. Not only will he likely be our leading scorer this year, he will likely be one of our best defenders.

Creighton Jones – Jones

Creighton is a versatile 6’5″ forward who does so much on the floor. He defends 1-5, rebounds, moves the basketball, scores around the rim, and does a great job getting to the free throw line. He is also our biggest vocal leader on the floor and in the locker room.

Bryce Cowns – McLoud

“Bryce is a great player who will do whatever is asked of him to help the team win. In his 4 years at McLoud he has been asked to play in just about every role and he has starred in his role every time. He is explosive in getting to the rim, often playing above the rim, and has improved his outside shot. Bryce was named an all-conference player in both our North Canadian and Route 66 conferences. Bryce is on his way to

surpassing the 1000 pt career scoring mark at some point this season. Bryce currently holds two offers from Oklahoma City University, and Southwestern (Kansas). Bryce is the hardest working player that I have coached in my 10 years at McLoud.”

He draws a lot of double teams every night and has learned to be a good distributor to open teammates. Loves to have the ball in his hands late in games and has proven to be reliable with five game winners at the buzzer in the last two seasons. Certainly one of the best Juniors – if not, players – in class A.

Gunner Starnes – SW Covenant

Gunner is tall, lanky and a very creative scorer. He can shoot the ball from deep and he finishes really well around the rim (eFG of 68%). Excellent shot blocker and looks to be more physical this season. He has all the tools of being a top notch

He was also selected 1st team All-Conference. Karson is a leader on and off the court and is always working on his game, he is also a three sport athlete.

Carson Schertz – Fairland

He was the go to guy when we needed a bucket and you could count on him to make plays for himself and his teammates. He had several 30+ point games during the 23-24 season while scoring in double digits in almost every game last season. We look forward to his play making again this year.

Waike Roblyer…6’7 junior. Led team in scoring and rebounding last year as a sophomore. Made first team All-Conference last season. Post player but has grown his game over the summer to extend his shooting range and ball handling on the perimeter.

Talon Thompson – Nowata

Talon started every game last year as a sophomore at the 5 for us. He will get to move to the 4 this year, which is a role he is much more familiar with and comfortable in. He averaged 10 points a game and 8 rebounds last year. He has spent more time in the gym than anyone to be ready to step up and be a more consistent scorer for us this year. The weightroom is really paying off for him as well. He is the type of kid that wants to be good, wants to be coached hard, and will do what it takes to help his team. I always say he has gotten better, but still has room for growth and still has another level he will be able to reach if he wants to get there.

Connor Pierce – Oklahoma Union

Eestyn Prater – Volume scorer from both inside and out. Puts pressure on the defense with his ability to blow by defenders. Has unlimited range from outside with the ability to make shots from well beyond the three point arc. Athleticism can be seen on full display with his many dunks and rebounds.

Basketball wise he is our leading scorer, probably our best defender, he plays with a great motor and he is a very smart, heady player. I think he is kind of the glue that holds us together and he is a gym rat and one of the hardest workers I have ever coached.

TR

Jaylen Melton – Braggs

Jaylen has been a 4 year starter for the Braggs Wildcats. In that time he has scored over 1000 points and recorded 800 assists. His hustle, unselfishness, and athleticism are a catalyst to the way we play. He is one of the better point guards in the region if not the state.

Maddox is a dangerous scorer who can go for 30+, but is more dangerous because you can usually pencil him in for 15 points no matter what. He’s lethal in transition from the wing and puts tremendous pressure on the defense because he can consistently get in the paint. Maddox uses his great athleticism to disrupt offenses and create turnovers.”

Cain Cooper is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and is expected to have a great season.

Xavier Harjo – Morris

Xavier Harjo is a 5 ft 10 quick point guard that can score. He is a great shooter and finisher at the basket that can go either way. Cameron Eakle – Stigler

Cameron is one of the most improved kids I have coached in my career. He has a great junior year but made huge strides this offseason by putting in work in the weight room and has put on 20 pounds of muscle. He was primarily a guard who could shoot it in the past but has now added an effective midrange game and with his added strength can finish at the rim.

Hunter Self – Stigler

Hunter has started since his freshman year and is on pace to reach the 1000 point mark by the end of the season. He is great at attacking the basket and midrange shots but can also hit the 3 when needed. He is also as good on the defensive end as he is on the offensive end. He is a gym-rat that always puts in the extra time working on his craft.

JaShawn Davison has a great work ethic. Putting extra time has become 2nd nature over the years. During this past summer, JaShawn played with the Tulsa Ballerz AAU Organization and had a great summer in the Adidas Circuit. Getting the opportunity to compete against some of the best competition across the region will hopefully have him prepared for his upcoming season. Averaging over 17pts per last season and making the All-Conference 1st team, he now sets his sights on becoming a better leader and better overall player, that can help his team make a deep run in the playoffs.”

Za’brien Shelburn – Wilson-Henryetta

“Za’brien was a state tournament CO-MVP with his brother Ke’shon. He led the tigers in scoring with 19ppg as a freshman. He will be one of the top players in the c/o 2027 regardless of class. Za’brien is the most competitive player every time he steps onto the floor. He is a player that is not afraid of the moment. – Za’brien Shelburn is the c/o 27. Za’brien should be considered amongst one of the top players in his class. He had a stellar freshman year earning many awards along with State Tournament MVP. Although he is young he has a game well beyond his years. He is a three tier scorer and lockdown defender. Look for him to be a household name for the next three years.

He went from playing 40 minutes his whole freshman season to being a starter and scoring a career high of 41 points against our rivals from Wewoka last year. He worked hard and the results showed by the way he improved from freshman to sophomore year. He is one of the hardest workers I have ever coached, and also one of the most coachable kids I have coached, he is an extreme competitor that hates to lose. Wyatt has a really good midrange floater that helps with his size, rebounds extremely well and is a streaky shooter from 3 but when he gets hot he can get really hot! Wyatt looked like the best player on the floor a lot of times this summer and I look for him to have a big time junior year this season and help lead us in all aspects of the game.

Quincy Shelton – Hugo

Because Quincy is highly recruited as a D1 football player some people are forgetting about his basketball ability. He’s played on varsity since his freshman year and that’s rare at Hugo.

Tomoyake Tahchawwickah – Pawnee

Tomoyake is a very unique, special kind of player. A leader with the ability to perform under pressure and shine under the brightest of lights. His game is smooth, under control while being complete with the intangibles every coach wants. An example first leader, Tomoyake will show you what is needed, when it is needed and how it is needed to be successful. His shooting has ranged from 22 feet out, he will lock up your best player on the opposing end and he will find a way to win his team, these are the true separators from “the pack”.
